Breeding · prl/prl
Godo PM is homozygous for pearl: both alleles are pearl, there is no third option.
The sire is fixed: Godo PM, double pearl. Choose the mare you have and see what the foal comes out as.
Along the top — what Godo PM passes on: prl and prl. The mare passes on prl and n. In the cells — what the foal gets.
Half the foals come out double pearl, the other half carriers. All of them get the pearl gene.
What he passes on
Homozygous is not a probability, it is arithmetic. The pearl gene goes to every foal, whichever mare you bring.
Matching
Find your type of mare. The result comes from the laws of inheritance, not from experience.
Calculated on Mendelian inheritance of the pearl gene. The coat colour of Godo PM is recorded in the LG PRE ANCCE studbook as bay double-pearl.
What backs this up
ANCCE calculates the indices from offspring and inspection. The breed average is 100, anything above it means the line produces more consistently than average.
An index is not a mark for one horse, it is a prediction of what that horse passes on. Next to every number ANCCE prints a reliability: the more offspring have been inspected, the higher it goes.
For LASTUR and GAUCHO III the reliability is high — decades of offspring behind them. The dressage index of ISMAELI still carries low reliability, and the studbook says so plainly.
Nothing left out
A breeder will open the studbook and read the same lines anyway. Better to say it first.
Godo PM was born in 2022. The qualification comes after inspection and offspring, and both are still ahead of him.
Zero registered foals. This is the first season, and the price of entry matches that.
The conformation index of SOL PM II, 106.09, was earned on the traits that drive movement: high withers, a long body. His breed type and harmony sit below average. The line is a sport line, not a show line.
The studbook records bay double-pearl. The full genetic profile — agouti, extension, cream, grey — has not been posted yet.
How it works
Shipped the day it is collected, viable for about 24 hours. Works when the mare is under a vet and ovulation is being tracked.
Stores and travels anywhere, needs precise timing of insemination and an experienced specialist on site.
The mare comes to us. The highest conception rate, but the transport is on you.
The price depends on the format and the logistics. Write to me about your mare — I will work it out and say straight whether it is worth doing at all.
